A proper annual service is the difference between a motor that lasts 8 years and one that lasts 15. Here's exactly what should be on the checklist.
Mechanical
Wheel and bearing inspection, rack cleanliness and mounting integrity, pinion alignment, hinge lubrication, gate frame plumb-check.
Electrical
Mains voltage, backup battery voltage under load, fuse check, LED indicators on the board, remote receiver test, wired trigger test.
Safety
Safety beam alignment and trip response, manual release operation, current-limit test on the motor.
Access
Remote coding integrity, keypad function, intercom call test, app connectivity if relevant.
